For centuries, galactic government was in decline. Years ago, it fell completely in a war that devastated hundreds of star systems. Your world, and a few others, survived relatively unscathed. Now, it's time to build a new Galactic Empire, with yourself at the head. You've been placed in charge of your planet's military and economic forces for the second Interstellar War.
        
It won't be easy. There are nine other worlds that have managed to regain the technology required. And much has still been lost - you'll have to struggle to regain the secrets of the 
high speed Star Cruisers and massive Battle Platforms. Preferably before your opponents do. You'll have to battle the last remnants of the old navies, still active in their home systems. And rumors abound of the lost fleets of the last war, still searching for a way to regain their former glory. Not to mention everything else out there.
